During the second quarter of 2024, the Saint Louis University Law Journal devoted an entire issue to articles discussing the teaching of legal research and writing. That issue, Issue 3 of Volume 68, is titled Teaching Legal Research, Writing, Communication, and Feedback. It features articles by Ellie Margolis, Katrina Lee, Brenda D. Gibson, Sylvia Lett, Olympia Duhart, Anna F. Connolly, Christine E. Rollins, Marcia Goldsmith & Karen Sanner, Anupama C. Connor, Julie E. Zink, and Randall P. Ryder.  

During the second quarter of 2024, the latest issue of The Second Draft was published. Issue 3 of Volume 36 features articles by Nancy Vettorello, Sarah Parks, Adam Eckart, Katya S. Cronin, Mandee Baumer, Sue Altmeyer, and Amy R. Stein.    

During the first quarter of 2024, the Fall 2023 issue of Perspectives: Teaching Legal Research and Writing was published.  It can be found on the Faculty Resource Center page of the Thomson Reuters/Westlaw platform, and includes pieces by Ben Fernandez, Alissa Bauer, Susan Winters, Frances DeLaurentis, Rachel Stabler, Elayne Greenberg, and Conley Wouters.

During the second quarter of 2024, the Scribes (The American Society of Legal Writers) published their 2023-24 edition of the Journal of Legal Writing.  Volume 21, which was mailed to Scribes members this spring (and will be available at the Scribes website soon), includes articles by Mike Madden, Ian Lewenstein, Karen Mika, Kenneth A. Adams, Patrick Barry, Suzanne Rowe, Brian C. Potts, Fred Frost, and Jennifer Murphy Romig, “How I Write” essays by Erwin Chemerinsky, Lance McMillan, and Ruthanne Deutsch & Hyland Hunt, and a book review by Steve Leben.

During the second quarter of 2024, the AALS Section on Legal Writing, Reasoning, and Research published its Spring/Summer 2024 Newsletter.  The newsletter includes several informative news items as well as micro-essays on the theme “Courage in Action.” You can access the contents of the newsletter via your AALS website credentials.
