LexisNexis and the Board of Directors of the Legal Writing Institute and the Association of Legal Writing Directors would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Professor Margaret Brenan Correoso of Florida International University School of Law, and to Professors Katrina Robinson and Kristen Stanley of Cornell Law School.

These three professors have been named recipients of our 2024 Legal Research and Communication Scholarship Grants for the following research initiatives:

• Professor Correoso will evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of introducing artificial intelligence into first-year legal research and writing classes;
• Professor Robinson will detail the results of empirical research evaluating the efficacy of the student-professor conference; and
• Professor Stanley will explore the intersection of trauma-informed practices and zealous legal advocacy and propose practical ways lawyers can be more trauma-informed storytellers.
